We believe that the free media practice is challenged in the world one way or other.

So we, as a Sri Lankan Media Organization, would like to fight for the Media Freedom within our own country and as a whole that struggle, we believe, is a part of the Sri Lankan people's struggle for their political freedom.

But that does not mean that we do confine ourselves to a solitary struggle in the whole wide world. Instead, we call upon the journalists, media personnel and the people of the world to join hand in hand for Media Freedom.

Our media practice is not limited to a single department or a single group. We are a joint society of media personnel from many media institutions in Sri Lanka.
